Nancy Hetrick
CDFA® / MAFF™ / AWMA®
Senior Financial advisor
Nancy is the founder of Smarter Money Solutions. She began her financial career in 1999 when she joined Charles Schwab in their “build a broker” program during the height of the technology bubble. When the technology bubbly burst and clients needed help, Nancy moved into Schwab’s first programs to provide relationship-based advice to clients on an ongoing basis as a Portfolio Consultant in their Private Client division.
In 2007, Nancy went through a less-than optimal divorce and became inspired to provide financial support to those faced with the same challenges. She left Schwab in 2011 to become an independent advisor and start her second company, Smarter Divorce Solutions to specialize in the financial intricacies of divorce.
In 2014 Nancy began teaching and training financial advisors all over the country how to have similar niche businesses and founded The Divorce Financial Planner Training Center.
Having been in the industry for over 25 years, Nancy believes strongly that it’s time for a change in financial services. It’s no longer about product, commissions, charts, graphs and overwhelm. It’s about people and connection and trusted guidance and partnership. Smarter Money Solutions is the product of that vision. Financial services for our modern world.
Nancy is passionate about lifelong learning and holds the following credentials: CDFA Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, MAFF Master Analyst in Financial Forensics, AWMA Accredited Wealth Management Advisor and AAMS Accredited Asset Management Specialist. She is Series 65 licensed and was previously licensed as a Series 7, 9, and 10.

Kristen Hilty
senior Advisor
Kristen has worked in the financial services industry since 1999 when she started her financial career with Charles Schwab where she was educating Financial Advisors and clients across the country. She became passionate about making sure everyone has access to a level of financial planning that goes beyond investment advice. Every client knows she deeply cares that they achieve their personal goals and nothing in their lives is being neglected. Helping her clients understand their relationship with money and the “why?” behind their financial goals is one of her favorite things about her work. In 2014, Kristen became an Independent Advisor so that she could have the opportunity to empower her clients with financial education and lead them to confidence they can carry over to every aspect of their lives.
As part of her role she noticed a need for anyone going through a divorce to have financial expertise as part of their divorce team and acquired the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) in 2017. Helping individuals make sound financial decisions through such an emotional time and avoid the court system if possible, lead her to also become a trained Mediator and Collaborative Law practitioner. Having gone through her own divorce, Kristen brings a truly authentic level of compassion to every client.
Outside of her professional life, Kristen enjoys spending quality time with her teenage daughter and 2 crazy dogs. In her spare time she loves to play tennis, work out, and catch some live music.
